The Red Brassie is my personal favourite colour a superb bloodworm and midge imitation. I have caught more fish and more species including, brook, brown, steelhead and salmon on this Brassie colour, I also like the bead-head variety. I can recall a very difficult day on the Nine Mile River in Ontario when nothing was happening. There were a number of fishermen working the same pool and not a bent rod in sight all morning. At about 3pm when most had departed I tied on a Red Brassie and was slammed on my first drift by a chrome steelhead at approximately 12lb, the action continued until early evening this was one of my most memorable days so don't leave home without a Red Brassie in you box.
