BH Hare's Ear Black - Bead Head. A pattern that does an unbelievably good job at getting those large fish resting on the river beds would be the Bead Head Black Hare's Ear. This variant of the Hare's Ear has been tested first hand for a multitude of specimens and therefore I can personally attest to the lethal nature of the Beadhead Black Hair's Ear fly. I have fished this fly on many a river in south western ontario including: the Bayfield, Nine Mile, the Maitland, and the Grand River having great success on all these waters.
